FYP1 Project Proposal


Title:
Blue Hole Project: Experience of Underwater Cave

Abstract:
This simulation is about an underwater cave experience through oculus rift.

Target Audience:
University Student (Age 18-24)

Goal:
 The goal of this simulation is to experience underwater cave diving. Cave diving is a dangerous exploration that need a lot of experience and cost. But through this simulation, audience will experience the most dangerous underwater cave. Besides that, the next goal is to educate user the proper technics on how to dive in an underwater cave. When come to diving, skill become very important but a proper diving skill will make thing easier.
The third goal is to discover the environment around underwater cave. Learning about the environment is one of the most important aspects when exploring the cave, so that we are able to gain knowledge on the surroundings, which includes the type of flora and living. The last goal is to understand mystery behind underwater cave. There is some hidden mystery behind this simulation, which hopes to give out a grand-explorer feel, like the mysterious Pyramids of Giza. We can only find out the mysteries by exploring them. By the end of this simulation, hopefully this will explain and answer all the users’ questions on the mystery of underwater cave.

Objectives:
-          To experience underwater cave diving
-          To educate users the proper techniques on how to dive in an underwater cave
-          To educate the environment around underwater cave
-          To understand mystery behind underwater cave


Description:
1.      Subject Method:
Subject above is call the blue hole. The blue hole only shows a hole in the surface but have a mystery under the hole.






Benchmark:
1.      Look & Style:
Figure above show different type of game style. The first at the top is reality style that mean all the model and environment will follow the reality. Next type of style will be half reality half virtual. Last will be full stylize.





2.      Game-Play:
Figure above show the type of game play. My simulation will like above in first person view with both human hand. The view will like the next sample with a goggle at the side. Last but not least, there will be a camera mode available like the last sample to take some footage.




3.      Interactions:

Figure above show the type of GUI that my simulation will have a bit similar. The type of GUI that will appeared in my simulation will be inventory system like the second picture. Besides that, the menu system will be like the first picture.


Input and Output:
Input: Xbox 360 controller
Output: HMD (Oculus Rift) 




Description:
Sample for level 01
The first level will be an introduction section by using flash back. This will begin with user and some friend where inside a lecture hall. The scene will be look like sample above, but only one lecture with some student. This first level is the explanation about the rule and regulation, history behind the word SCUBA, History about Blue Hole and other important knowledge before go underwater cave diving.

Title
Blue Hole Project


Abstract
The summery of this application is let player understand the mystery inside a blue hole and also the safety while cave diving


Target Audience
University student

Goal
The Goal of this simulation is to let the audience know the basic rule for cave diving. The basic rule is important to remember because this sometime save you out from trouble. Besides that, those rule was creating for some reason and propose.
The second goal is solving the mystery inside the blue hole. There are a lot of mystery in Bahamas the island. A question from David Steadman, University of Florida ask is there any animal fissile in the blue hole, is there any lager animal in the Bahamas Island and a lot of question. So end of the day, Bahamas Island become a lost world that make loads of explore interest.
The Third goal is the element in side a blue hole. There is layer of rock to form a mystery cave. Besides that, each layer of rock has their own purpose
The last goal is understanding and follow instructor order. Licence and understand order is the most important value in learning thing. If a worker knows how to licence and follow order will let his work easier and also consume less time but if a worker does not licence to order and obey will cause whole bunch of trouble and waste time repeating the same thing. 


Objectives
      -     to study the element inside a blue hole
-      to understand the safety while diving inside a cave
-      to learn the mystery inside a blue hole
-      to allow user to easily access the wonder of nature through oculus rift

Description
The first level will be a flash back where player where in a lecture hall, there the place where all the instruction, rule, tips, explanation and other important information on cave diving.
The Second level, player will be present day at the side of the blue hole. After some preparation, there will be a brief on the objective and the goal of this mission. Player will play as one of the diving crew that will become professor’s eye and hand to search for the object that the professor needed for his experiment. Then the diving will begin.

Title:
The Guardian Blue Hole Exploration

Abstract:
The summery of this application is player will become one of the film crew that will going to visit the Guardian Blue Hole. So player will be exploring the world second deepest underwater cave.

Target Audience:
University student

Goal:
The goal of this application is to let people know what is a blue hole and why is it so amazing. Some people said blue who is small at the top but inside is just like a liquid time capsule that contain a lot of mystery. Besides that, some people said that blue hole is dangerous, there are a lot of cave diver missing in the cave. The second goal of this simulation is learn the beauty of mother natural. There are a lot of thing that even mankind cannot create like the fossil.      

Objectives:
         -     to immerse the user through realistic visuals and audio effects
-      to understand the beauty of mother natural
-      to learn the mystery behind a blue whole
-      to allow user to easily access to the knowledge of cave diving.


Benchmark:












 Description:
In the 1 level player will be at the side of the hole and start prepare. Meantime, instruction will be given. After that, there will be a check n tool and the rule that need to follow. The first level will be a bit board because the will be just explaining all the tool, rule and all the theory part. The 2 level will be the diving.
